It’s been quite a while since I last posted on my blog, and I’m excited to be back after taking a three-month hiatus. The reason I’ve been away? Let me tell you about my wedding early this year—it was wonderfully chaotic!
As many of you may know, preparing for a wedding can be both exhilarating and exhausting. My wife—though it still feels surreal whenever I call her that—Trice, and I decided to take on the challenge of planning and executing our wedding ourselves. We opted for a DIY approach to ensure that our special day truly reflected our personalities and love story.
From designing the invitations to making the giveaways ourselves, Trice poured her heart and soul into every detail of our wedding. Her creativity and dedication transformed our vision into reality, and I couldn’t have been more grateful for her talents and hard work.
Despite our meticulous planning, there were still some last-minute preparations to be done on the eve of our wedding day. Now, here’s where things get interesting: tradition dictates that the bride and groom should not see each other the day before the wedding, as it’s believed to bring bad luck. However, Trice and I, being the rebels we are, decided to bend the rules a bit. Confident in the strength of our love, which has stood the test of time for 12 years of dating, we brushed off any concerns about bad luck affecting us. After all, our bond is unshakeable, and no superstition could dampen our excitement for the journey ahead.
With the clock ticking and exhaustion settling in—especially for Trice, who had been tirelessly coordinating every detail—it seemed like sleep was a luxury we couldn’t afford. However, fueled by adrenaline and sheer determination, we pressed on, determined to ensure that every aspect of our big day was just right. And you know what? Despite the lack of sleep and the inevitable nerves, we were able to pull off everything on our wedding day.
